Frequently asked
Questions
- Where can I spend a Hadiyah card?
- At any partner in our curated collection. Each is halal-verified by certification.
- When does the card expire?
- 12 months from activation. The full amount remains spendable until the expiry date shown on /redeem.
- Can the recipient see how much is left?
- Yes — enter the code on the balance page. Their full transaction history is shown alongside it.
- What is Gift a Meal?
- An optional sadaqah you add at checkout, given on behalf of the person you're gifting — every £2.50 feeds one person. When the pot reaches the cost of a meal, we pay charities serving the poor and needy to feed someone.
- Is the card refundable?
- Unused balance can be cancelled within 14 days of purchase. After that the card is a gift and is non-refundable, though a lost card can only be reissued virtually.
- Are you a charity?
- No. Hadiyah is a small business that runs the card system. The Gift a Meal pot is a transparent, ring-fenced fund for feeding people in need.
